About Us

Chapinchronicle.com is the 2016-2017 online publication of the Captain John L. Chapin journalism program.  The staff at the Chapin Chronicle strives for excellence and professionalism as a media organization and works to foster a public forum for the Chapin High School community.

Our mission is, most importantly, to inform the student body and faculty of factual, diverse information about what is happening at Chapin and in the world around us. Equally important to the staff is to make this information available to the public and to also review enjoyable and interesting events for our readers.

Opinions expressed within these online pages, online blog accounts, as well as the print publications, do not necessarily represent the opinions of the staff, adviser, administration or EPISD.  Letters and guest columnists are welcome. Editors reserve the right to edit for content, space, and potentially libelous material.  Free clipart and photos labeled for non-commercial use that may be used in post or article or on adviser/ class website are courtesy of creative commons, non-commercial sites, and/or www.school.discoveryeducation.com

Chapin High School is named after El Paso WWII hero John L. Chapin who led the Men of Company E in several WWII battles.
